Each week we come together as breastfeeding mothers, but we are so much more than that. We understand mothers are people trying their best and may need a little help in other aspects of their lives. AMEN is here to help and support.
PsychologyToday.com : a great resource in looking for a therapist for ANYONE: head to the website, and you can filter by therapist specialization by diagnoses that they treat, therapist specialization by age (if they work with children, teens, or adults), insurance accepted; you can also view many therapists photos to get an idea of what they look like.
If you are in crisis and need a place to take your children and have no other options: This service is usually for families with significant stress and they need a place to take their children that is safe while they get a mental health/health appointment, have their own hospitalization, get things together to help their family, are at risk for JFS involvement/have an open case etc. However, it is not connected to JFS
On their website, they have a phone number on the “contact us” tab and on the “programs” -> “families” tab that people can call to gain more information about what support groups they have available
Moms with children aged 3 and under who receive care at Children’s Hopple or PPC are eligible; one therapist works with all moms getting care at those Children’s clinics. There is another therapist who works for Moving Beyond Depression who works within Children’s Home. Those families can become eligible for the program through Cradle Cincinnati, Every Child Succeeds, or through Children’s Home if you live in Hamilton County.
